Managing Broker at Sterling Real Estate Group
Shenandoah Myrick is a Licensed Real Estate Broker and Managing Broker in Washington State. With over 20 years of experience, she has also earned an Associate of Science Degree in Real Estate, focusing on Green Building. Shenandoah is a Certified Residential Appraiser and a trusted expert in the field.
Shenandoah grew up in the San Fernando Valley and spent time living in the California sequoias. It was there she discovered her love for nature. She recalls, “We built a home we loved with minimal materials and some outside help. It had a composting toilet, solar panels, a garden, and goats for milk. We only bought meats and grains from the store.”
This experience shaped her lifestyle and values. Today, Shenandoah is an advocate for protecting the environment and helping her community.
In 1996, Shenandoah moved to Bellingham and immediately felt at home. She fell in love with the lush greenery, views of Mt. Baker, and the surrounding nature. While she misses California beaches, she enjoys hiking, gardening, and walking with her dogs alongside her husband, Brian.
Shenandoah is passionate about how homes impact our health and the environment. She explains, “Health issues often come from the condition of our homes—like poor indoor air quality caused by chemicals, moisture, and dust. A healthy home uses less toxic materials and is sealed to prevent moisture and outdoor particles.”
She takes pride in helping clients create healthier homes. Whether improving their current home or buying a new one, she ensures they make informed decisions.
For over 20 years, Shenandoah has volunteered to support affordable housing, food security, green building, and mental health. Her contributions include:
Today, Shenandoah continues to serve her profession as chair of the Whatcom County Association of Realtors Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. She also contributes to the Government Affairs Committee and the Washington Realtors Education Committee.
Her dedication to her clients, community, and the environment makes her a trusted and respected real estate professional in Washington State.
Shenandoah Myrick and Linda Sanford were great friends for many years, with common interests in the environment, ‘green’ building, and the connection between the land we live on and the way we live on it. Their philosophy of achieving a more sustainable future through higher performance homes, combined with their steadfast belief that healthier homes lead to healthier lives, provided them with shared knowledge and expertise when working with clients throughout Northwestern Washington.
Sadly, Linda passed away in 2022, leaving a legacy that Shenandoah carries on today. You can read more about Linda’s life here.
